Polish wood housebuilding has a centuries old tradition. In many places, we managed to preserve old churches dating back to middle ages or thatched farm houses from the late 18th century. One of the oldest is the wooden church in Haczów which is over 600 years old. In Chrystkowo near Bydgoszcz, a wooden house (which was originally built in 1770) has been preserved up to this day.
AFFORDABLE REALIZATION COSTS
-
The amount of wood required for a traditional roof frame in a brick house is just slightly smaller than the same amount of material used to create the whole house frame for a house of the same dimensions.
- Smaller weight of the building itself leads to cheaper foundations and transport costs
-
Smaller thickness of exterior walls lends itself to a greater total living area compared with a brick house; e.g. a 100 m2 one-storey wooden house is comparatively “bigger” inside by 10-12 m2 when compared to a similar brick house. It allows for a much greater total living area.
ENERGY EFFICIENCY
- Extremely efficient thermal insulation which is harder to achieve in different technologies at the same price. Wooden house frame allows for a much thicker insulation. By mixing natural characteristics of wood with modern insulation materials, our houses possess an extremely high level of energy efficiency, thus, reducing heating costs substantially.
DURABILITY/ LONGEVITY
100 years or more because of the following:
-
stable and durable construction
-
guaranteed quality achieved through a high level of intial preparations
-
an advanced technology of timber logging, its further production and subsequent preservation
-
the application of modern housebuilding systems (which guarantee longevity)
-
the application of high quality materials acquired from the word leaders in wooden housebuilding
-
light and compact frame construction leads to its durability
SHORT COMPLETION TIME
Up to 1month in case of less technologically advanced designs; up to 3 months in case of more technologically advanced ones due to:
- ready-made components. The application of prefabricates in the production process leads to a much higher relative quality of the product because single components do not get exposed to extreme weather conditions,
- the so-called ‘dry’ housebuilding technology which is based solely on joinery using metal connectors. This, in turn, deems any breaks in the process of housebuilding unnecessary,
- the possibility of continuing works in winter (not including foundation works). A wooden house does not require any extra masonry works which can only be carried out in warmer weather.
SIMPLICITY OF ADAPTATION
HEALTH, WELL-BEING AND COMFORT
For centuries, wood has been the most comfortable building material as it:
-
creates favourable living conditions for those suffering from allergy
-
is well known for its soundproofing efficiency
-
has excellent thermal properties
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Wykorzystujemy zdrowe, naturalne materiały, takie jak drewno, gips, wełna mineralna (do budowy używane są wyłącznie materiały spełniające najbardziej rygorystyczne europejskie normy ekologiczne), odradzający się surowiec wpływa na pozytywny bilans energetyczny.
We only use environmentally friendly materials of the highest quality such as wood, plaster and mineral wool as they satisfy only the most demanding norms.
